External Application Therapy: Effective Treatment for Acne and Skin Whitening

Treatment

Tianrong Pill

[Indications] Lung heat type acne. Symptoms include mainly red papules, possible pustules and red nodules, pain at the affected area, itching, flushing of the face, thirst with preference for drinking, constipation, short red urine, red tongue, thin yellow coating.

[Ingredients] Scutellaria baicalensis, Angelica dahurica, Aconitum carmichaelii, and Saposhnikovia divaricata, each 3g.

[Method] Grind the above ingredients into fine powder and mix with honey to form pills.

[Usage] Apply the pills to the face several times during face washing, and repeat the application before bedtime.

Dian Dao External Application

[Indications] Acne.

[Ingredients] Sulfur, Rhubarb, each 7.5g, lime water 100ml.

[Method] Grind sulfur and rhubarb into fine powder, then add lime water (mix lime with water and wait for clarification).

[Usage] Apply to the affected area externally, 2-3 times a day.

[Explanation] This formula has the functions of activating blood circulation, resolving stasis, killing parasites, and relieving itching.

Acne Cleanser

[Indications] Damp-heat type acne of the gastrointestinal tract. Symptoms include oily skin on the face, chest and back, red and swollen skin lesions, possible pustules, bad breath, poor appetite, abdominal distension, constipation, yellowish red urine, red tongue, greasy yellow coating, slippery rapid pulse.

[Ingredients] Precipitated sulfur 6g, camphor 10g, Scutellaria baicalensis gum 1g, lime water appropriate amount.

[Method] Take the above ingredients and add lime water to make 100mL.

[Usage] Take the liquid and apply it externally, 2-3 times a day. Before applying the medication, wash the affected area with hot water and sulfur soap.

Sanhuang Cleanser

[Indications] Damp-heat type acne.

[Ingredients] Rhubarb, Phellodendron amurense, Scutellaria baicalensis, Sophora flavescens, each 4g, medical grade coal tar acid 1ml, steamed distilled water 100ml.

[Method] Grind the above ingredients into fine powder, add 100ml of steamed distilled water, and 1ml of medical grade coal tar acid.

[Usage] Shake well before use, and apply the medicinal juice to the affected area with cotton swabs, 3-4 times a day.

[Explanation] This formula has the functions of clearing heat, relieving itching, and astringing, suitable for acne with redness, swelling, itching, pain, and exudation. Caution should be taken to prevent allergies.

Vinegar and Soapberry External Application

[Indications] Acne with pus formation.

[Ingredients] Vinegar 120g, tender soapberry spines 30g.

[Method] Boil the tender soapberry spines in vinegar.

[Usage] Remove the residue and apply the juice to the affected area.

[Explanation] This formula has antibacterial and skin care effects.

Twisting and Rubbing External Application

[Indications] Mild initial stage of acne.

[Method] Take an appropriate amount of lemon.

Erhuang Ointment

[Indications] Lung meridian wind-heat type ulcers. Symptoms include mainly red papules, possible pustules and red nodules, pain at the affected area, itching, flushing of the face. Red tongue, thin yellow coating, floating and rapid pulse.

[Ingredients] Rhubarb, sulfur, Salvia miltiorrhiza, borneol, appropriate amount of soybean powder.

[Method] Grind the herbs into fine powder, mix with an appropriate amount of soybean powder, and add a base to form a thin paste.

[Usage] Apply to the face. Once every 7-10 days, 3 times for one treatment course.

Sanren Ointment

[Indications] Phlegm-dampness obstructing type ulcers. Symptoms include skin lesions that are not bright red, with pustules, nodules, cysts, and scars as the main features. Accompanied by fatigue, poor appetite, and loose stools. Greasy tongue coating, slippery pulse.

[Ingredients] Juglans regia, Prunus persica, Prunus armeniaca, camphor, red powder, each 30g.

[Method] Grind the first three ingredients into fine powder, then add red powder and camphor, and mix well with a little sesame oil.

[Usage] Apply once a night to the affected area.
