January 13, 2024

Hand, foot, and mouth disease patients must pay more attention to rest and have a light diet, preferably choosing easily digestible, soft foods. So what kind of food is most suitable for babies? Below, I will recommend several dietary therapies suitable for patients.

1. Yam and Astragalus Soup

Preparation: Boil 15-20 grams of raw astragalus into a soup, then add yam, lean meat, and other ingredients to the soup. The taste is very fragrant and children will also like it.

Effect: Suitable for children with deficiency in constitution, regularly taking it can improve spleen function and enhance immunity.

2. Mung Bean and Red Date Soup

Preparation: Boil 30-40 grams of mung beans and 10 red dates together, this soup can be used as a dessert. Suitable for children with excess heat in constitution.

3. Poria and Red Bean Stewed Spare Ribs

Add a moderate amount of salt before drinking.

Effect: Prevent hand, foot, and mouth disease, clear dampness and heat, and relieve dampness and toxin. Used for damp heat turbidity, scrofula, scabies, and limb spasms caused by mercury poisoning, as well as joint and bone pain.

4. Rice Kernel and Mung Bean Congee
