Nowadays, most people prefer to be slim so that they can get along well with others. They are afraid of being different and not liked by others, which makes them feel unhappy. Today, I recommend acupuncture for weight loss, which is quite effective and worth a try. Now, let me introduce it to you. Acupuncture for Weight Loss Obesity is believed by traditional Chinese medicine to be caused by spleen dysfunction, qi deficiency and dampness stagnation. It can also be caused by strong stomach and weak spleen, internal damp-heat, and disharmony between the chong and ren meridians, leading to metabolic disorders and accumulation of turbid fat. Therefore, in treatment, it is necessary to use the method of syndrome differentiation and treatment to achieve better therapeutic effect. Method/Procedure (1) Spleen dysfunction and dampness stagnation Clinical manifestations: fatigue, shortness of breath with movement, reduced appetite, loose stools, flabby muscles, pale and fat tongue, weak and slow pulse. Acupoints: Inner Pass, Spleen Point, Heavenly Pivot, Abundant Bulge, Sanyinjiao, Lieque. (2) Strong stomach and weak spleen, internal damp-heat Clinical manifestations: increased appetite, bad breath, thirst with yellow urine, dry stools, firm muscles, red greasy tongue coating, slippery or wiry pulse. Acupoints: Curved Pool, Supporting Ditch, Four Fullness, Sanyinjiao, Inner Court, Abdominal Knot. (3) Disharmony between chong and ren meridians Clinical manifestations: sore and weak lower back and limbs, irregular menstruation, reduced menstrual flow, frequent urination, normal appetite and sleep, good bowel movements. The abdomen and buttocks are as fat as water bags. The tongue is pale and fat, and the pulse is deep and weak or slippery and thin. Acupoints: Supporting Ditch, Four Fullness, Guanyuan, Girdle Vessel, Sea of Blood, Sanyinjiao, Taixi. The above treatments should be done every other day, with each session lasting 20-30 minutes. Electrical acupuncture can be used for abdominal acupoints. Acupuncture for weight loss works by adjusting the body's metabolism and exerting its internal effects, so it takes a certain amount of time to see results. Therefore, patients must have confidence and actively cooperate with the treatment, and should not be too impatient. Based on the observation of a large number of weight loss cases, due to the cumulative effect of acupuncture, many patients continue to experience weight loss even after stopping acupuncture treatment for a certain period of time. Precautions 1. Diet: During the weight loss process, it is not advisable to excessively control the diet, especially fasting therapy. Excessive fasting can lead to anorexia, digestive organ dysfunction, and serious consequences. It can also lower the body's metabolic function, which is a potential factor for further weight gain. Once the normal diet is resumed, the patient may continue to gain weight, or even become heavier than before controlling the diet. However, it is advisable to control the intake of sweets and greasy foods by reducing the consumption of fats and sugars. 2. Increase physical activity: Increasing fat consumption is a necessary condition for weight loss treatment. However, strenuous exercise is not recommended. Endurance and long-lasting exercise are advocated. For patients with abdominal obesity, doing about 20 minutes of abdominal breathing and abdominal exercises before bed is beneficial for reducing abdominal fat and promoting bowel movements. 3. In ear pressure therapy, it is necessary to accurately locate the acupoints, and patients should press and massage their ears on time. Generally, massage the ears for 5-6 minutes before meals until the ears feel warm. Do it 3 times a day. This is the key to achieving weight loss goals.
