Spring is the season when peach blossoms bloom. "Shennong's Materia Medica" believes that peach blossoms have the power to "make people look good." Modern pharmacological research has shown that peach blossoms contain various vitamins and trace elements, which can prevent chronic deposition of melanin in the skin and effectively prevent and treat dry and rough skin. Below are some simple and practical peach blossom beauty remedies that are easy to use.

Peach Blossom Porridge: Take 2 grams of peach blossoms (double if using fresh flowers), 100 grams of glutinous rice, and 30 grams of brown sugar. Place the peach blossoms in a clay pot, add enough water to soak for 30 minutes, then add the glutinous rice and cook the porridge over low heat. When the porridge is almost cooked, add the brown sugar and mix well. Serve warm with breakfast. Take 1 dose per day, with 5 doses constituting one course of treatment. Wait for 5 days before starting another course. This remedy is suitable for those with blood stasis (such as dark complexion, blood clots during menstruation, purple spots on the tongue, and chronic constipation). It should be noted that this porridge should not be consumed for a long time, and should be temporarily discontinued during menstruation. It is also not suitable for those with heavy menstrual flow.

Peach Blossom Pig's Trotters Beauty Porridge: Take 1 gram of peach blossoms, 1 pig's trotter, 100 grams of glutinous rice, and seasonings as needed. Dry the peach blossoms and grind them into fine powder. Separate the skin and meat of the pig's trotter from the bones. Place them in a pot with enough water and bring to a boil. Skim off the foam and simmer over low heat until the pig's trotter is tender. Remove the bones and add the glutinous rice and peach blossom powder. Continue to cook the porridge over low heat. When the porridge is almost cooked, add the seasonings and mix well. Take one dose the next day, and consume it in multiple servings throughout the day while warm. This remedy is suitable for breastfeeding women with facial pigmentation.

Peach Blossom Whitening Formula: Take 60 grams of peach blossoms, 75 grams of winter melon seeds, and 45 grams of tangerine peel. Grind them into a fine powder and store in a porcelain bottle. Take 1 gram each time, 2-3 times a day, and consume it with warm glutinous rice wine after meals. This remedy is suitable for those with darker complexion or yellow-brown spots on the face.

Peach Blossom Pills: Take a suitable amount of freshly bloomed peach blossoms, dry them, grind them into powder, and mix with honey to form pills. Each pill weighs about 6 grams. Take 1 pill in the morning and 1 pill in the evening. This remedy is suitable for those with dark complexion or acne and butterfly spots caused by liver depression and poor blood circulation.

Peach Blossom Tea: Take 4 grams of peach blossoms, 5 grams of winter melon seeds, and 3 grams of white willow bark. Brew them with boiling water, cover and steep for about 10 minutes. Drink it as often as desired, and it can be brewed 3-4 times a day. This tea is especially suitable for those with black spots on the face, pregnancy-related pigmentation, and age spots. Note: Pregnant women and those with heavy menstrual flow should avoid consuming this tea.

Peach Blossom Wine: Take an appropriate amount of peach blossoms and white wine. Pour the peach blossoms into a wine jar and add white wine until the blossoms are submerged. Seal the jar and let it soak for 30 days. Remove the peach blossoms and consume 5-10 milliliters of the medicinal wine each time, once in the morning and once in the evening. It has the effects of disease prevention, beauty, and complexion enhancement. Note: It is not suitable for those with heavy menstrual flow.
