Main Acupoints for Massage in Enuresis in Children

Massage the kidney meridian for 10 minutes, rub the outer labor palace for 4 minutes, and pinch the navel Shenque point; pinch the Qu bone acupoint 7 times.

Effects of Massage: Massaging and nourishing the kidney meridian, rubbing the outer labor palace, and pinching the navel Shenque point can regulate kidney qi, nourish kidney yin, warm and nourish kidney yang, and alleviate the symptoms of loose stools. Pinching the Qu bone acupoint has a therapeutic effect on frequent enuresis.

Additional Acupoints for Massage in Enuresis in Children

Massage the spleen meridian for 7 minutes; rub the "Yi Wo Feng" acupoint for 4 minutes, reverse the inner eight trigrams for 2 minutes, and massage the four transverse lines acupoint for 4 minutes.

Differential Diagnosis and Massage for Enuresis in Children

1. For bedwetting caused by damp-heat in the liver meridian, massage the liver meridian, small intestine meridian, and heart meridian. Palm rub the lower abdomen, rub the lumbar-sacral region, push Ji men, nourish the kidney meridian, rub Shangma, rub San Yin Jiao, and rub Yongquan acupoints for 1 minute each.

Effects of Massage: Clearing the liver meridian, heart meridian, and small intestine meridian to eliminate damp-heat; nourishing the kidney meridian, rubbing Shangma, pushing Ji men to nourish yin and clear heat; palm rubbing the lower abdomen and rubbing the lumbar-sacral region helps alleviate enuresis.

2. For enuresis caused by deficiency of the spleen, lungs, and kidneys, massage the spleen meridian, lung meridian, and kidney meridian. Push San Guan, rub outer labor palace, press and rub Baihui, rub the lower abdomen, press and rub Shenshu, rub the lumbar-sacral region, and press and rub San Yin Jiao acupoints for 1 minute each.

Effects of Massage: Pushing San Guan, rubbing the lower abdomen, nourishing the kidney meridian, pressing and rubbing Shenshu, rubbing the lumbar-sacral region can warm and nourish kidney qi; nourishing the lung meridian and spleen meridian can strengthen the lung and spleen qi deficiency; pressing and rubbing Baihui, rubbing the outer labor palace, and pressing and rubbing San Yin Jiao have the effect of warming yang and promoting bladder restraint.
