It is mainly used to treat heat-related diseases without damaging the yin. It is commonly used for symptoms such as restlessness, dry mouth and throat, and mouth and tongue sores.
2. For those with cold and fever, headache, slight sweating, and sore throat caused by external wind-heat, it is often used in combination with other techniques such as pushing Zan Zhu, pushing Kan Gong, and rubbing Taiyang acupoint.
3. When there is intense heat, Qing Tianhe water can be used to clear heat. It is commonly used for symptoms such as high fever caused by excess heat.
Clinical Applications of Qing Tianhe Water
1. Different techniques are suitable for different conditions. Qing Tianhe water is mostly used for external wind-heat, with the main purpose of promoting perspiration and releasing heat. Da Tui Tianhe water has a strong heat-clearing effect and can also clear qi and nourish heat. Qu Tianhe water is suitable for internal heat caused by yin deficiency.
2. This acupoint can be used in a compound technique. After massaging and pressing Nei Laogong or Xiaotianxin acupoint, the practitioner uses four fingers together to tap from Zongjin acupoint to the wrist and elbow, which has the effect of promoting meridian circulation. This technique is called Da Ma Guo Tianhe, and during the treatment, the fingers should be dipped in cold water and cool air should be blown while tapping.
