The Efficacy of the Cheek Carriage Point
The Cheek Carriage Point belongs to the Yangming meridian of the foot. Located below the jaw, it is used to dispel wind, clear heat, reduce swelling, relieve pain, and regulate and facilitate dental occlusion. It is mainly used to treat facial, oral, and mandibular disorders caused by wind and heat attacking the Yangming meridian.
The Function of the Cheek Carriage Point
The Cheek Carriage Point is one of the important acupuncture points along the stomach meridian. Among the internal fires of the human body, the stomach fire is the strongest. Toothaches caused by stomach fire are often transmitted to the teeth through the Yangming stomach meridian. As the teeth are not a place where fire is stored, this can cause toothaches and swollen gums. Pressing this point can help relieve lower toothaches.
