Cupping is a very old Chinese medical practice that is sought after by many people because of its simplicity, broad indications and obvious effects. But most people do not know that cupping also has bad effects.

Long-term cupping may lead to physical weakness

From the perspective of Chinese medicine, cupping is a diarrhea method, which is a kind of outwardly dispersed therapy. Too much laxation tends to harm the skin and muscles and reduce the positive energy in the body. In particular, some people repeatedly cupping because they feel comfortable. Too much is not enough, and in the long run, it may lead to physical weakness.

Cupping produces dizziness

When cupping, one should pay close attention to the patient's reaction. If there is dizziness, nausea, pale face, cold sweat, cold limbs and other dizzy conditions, the cupping device should be removed promptly and the patient should be placed flat in a supine position. In mild cases, a small amount of warm water or sugar water can be given, and in severe cases, the patient should be sent to the hospital immediately for treatment.

Too long cupping hurts the skin

Depending on the material of the cupping pot and the strength of the cupping pot, the time of cupping varies. However, it is generally recommended that the time should not exceed fifteen minutes. Some people mistakenly believe that the longer the effect, the better, too much time may lead to skin blistering and breakage, causing infection.

Easy to catch a cold after cupping

Because the pores are in an open state after cupping, it is easy to get cold, resulting in cold. Many people do not understand clearly the precautions of cupping before, and immediately after cupping, they go to take a bath or blow the air conditioner, at this time, it is easy to get cold.

Over-exaggerating the effect of cupping

Although cupping has obvious effects on many diseases and pains, do not blindly think that it can cure all diseases. Cupping is only a physical therapy means, after the occurrence of the disease should be promptly to hospital treatment, cupping can only be used as an auxiliary means.
