Nourishing Your Hair in Autumn: Tips and Tricks for Healthy and Strong Hair

November 1, 2023

As autumn approaches, does your hair fall like autumn leaves? Even without blow-drying, does your hair become frizzy and split at the ends? Does your hair need nourishment to regain its vitality? You answered correctly! Knowing the right time and method to nourish your hair is crucial.

Autumn Nourishing Tip 1: Switch to a hair-strengthening shampoo and wash your hair daily without worrying

Every time you wash your hair, you end up with a bunch of hair that could be used to knit a sweater! Hair loss is often caused by excessive oil secretion, which leads to clogged hair follicles. When the roots cannot receive enough nutrition, the hair becomes thin and falls out. Therefore, the more you worry about hair loss, the more you should wash your hair daily! Choose a shampoo that strengthens the hair roots from the scalp, as this is the right approach. The ideal anti-hair loss shampoo for autumn should meet two conditions: it should be able to remove oil and stimulate blood circulation in the scalp. The latter is usually achieved by adding slightly stimulating plant extracts such as ginger, grapefruit, lemon, peppermint, and eucalyptus.

Note: If you find that the anti-hair loss shampoo you bought is slow to take effect, don't switch brands every two weeks. Different shampoos have different pH values, anti-hair loss formulas, and additives. Our scalp needs time to adapt to a particular shampoo brand. Frequently changing brands may irritate the fragile scalp and worsen hair loss.

Autumn Nourishing Tip 2: Nourish the scalp with hair essence to strengthen the roots and promote hair growth

The real solution to thin and lifeless hair is scalp essence. Just like plants need to be watered at the roots in dry environments, spraying water on the leaves is useless. For those who already have hair loss problems, choose scalp essence that is low in oil or oil-free. This will not burden the hair follicles and will provide necessary minerals, antioxidant polyphenols, and vitamins to the scalp through concentrated gels.

Note: The combination of styling products and scalp oil can clog the hair follicles and prevent them from breathing, leading to hair loss. Therefore, before shampooing, use scalp oil to purify the styling product residues on the scalp using essential oils such as rosemary, cypress, lemon, and eucalyptus. The principle is to dissolve oil with oil, allowing the hair follicles to regain vitality.

Steps:

1. Divide the hair into sections and apply 10 drops of scalp oil evenly on the scalp.

2. Gently massage the scalp, focusing on areas that feel itchy or greasy, such as above the ears and along the hairline.

3. Leave it on for 15 minutes, then rinse it off and proceed with normal shampooing.

Autumn Nourishing Tip 3: Nourish the hair ends for flexible and smooth hair

When you comb your hair in the morning, the comb is filled with broken hair. Even if you use the same comb as Kate Middleton, it doesn't work! This indicates that your hair, from root to end, is dull and frizzy, leading to split ends and fragility. Remember to apply hair oil before blow-drying! Hair oil not only contains base oils such as sunflower seed oil, corn oil, jojoba oil, and hazelnut oil, but also concentrated ingredients such as royal jelly, rose water, and collagen. It effectively nourishes and strengthens the split and damaged hair fibers, ensuring they stick together firmly.

Note:

1. Heat protection for curled hair. Before using a curling iron, apply hair oil as a base. After curling, apply another layer along the direction of the curls for better lubrication and styling effect.

2. Taming flyaways. If there are stray hairs on the crown, rub a small amount of hair oil between your palms and gently apply it to the stray hairs, making sure not to touch the scalp.

3. Taming stubborn hair. If your hair is dry, stiff, and unruly, mix 3-5 drops of hair oil with amino acid spray and apply it to the hair. This will make your hair manageable, soft, and easy to style.

Autumn Nourishing Tip 4: Prevent hair loss through dietary therapy

To nourish your hair, consume foods rich in choline, such as eggs, wheat germ, legumes, oatmeal, and brown rice. Increase your intake of foods rich in vitamin B, such as whole grains, liver, lean meat, legumes, and fresh fruits and vegetables. Also, include foods high in fatty acids, such as fish. Additionally, there are some dietary therapy methods that can provide additional nutrition to your hair.

Peanut and Red Date Soup: Soak peanuts in warm water, remove the "peanut skin," add a few red dates, and simmer for half an hour. Add brown sugar to taste. You can have it for breakfast or as a late-night snack. Consistently consuming this soup can effectively improve dry and easily falling hair.

Black Sesame and Goji Berry Porridge: Cook black sesame, goji berries, and a small amount of rice together to make porridge. This has excellent kidney-tonifying and vitality-boosting effects, making it suitable for people with significant hair loss in autumn.

Polygonum Multiflorum and Rock Sugar Porridge: Boil 50g of Polygonum Multiflorum to make a concentrated juice. Then add rice, rock sugar, and black beans to make a porridge. Consume it every morning to prevent hair loss effectively.

Autumn Nourishing Tip 5: Prevent hair loss through massage

Baihui Acupoint: The top of the head is the area with the most severe hair loss. You can massage the baihui acupoint on the top of the head with your thumb to locally improve blood circulation and increase the supply of nutrients to the hair. (The baihui acupoint is located at the intersection of the midline of the head and a line connecting the tops of both ears).

Sishencong Acupoint: Use your thumb to press and massage the acupoints in a clockwise direction, starting from the baihui acupoint. This will improve blood circulation. (Press at 1 inch in front, behind, left, and right of the baihui acupoint).

Fengfu Acupoint: Rotate your thumb around the fengfu acupoint in a clockwise direction for 5 times until you feel a slight soreness without pain. (This acupoint is 1 inch above the posterior hairline).

Taiyang Acupoint: Lightly tap the temples on both sides with the fingertip of your middle finger.

After massaging these acupoints, you can continue to tap your head until the scalp turns slightly red. Combine acupoint massage and head tapping every night before bed to effectively promote hair growth.

Autumn Nourishing Tip 6: External applications to prevent hair loss

Beer for Preventing Dry and Falling Hair: For hair, beer is still a "liquid bread." It not only protects the hair from drying out but also promotes hair growth. After shampooing, apply a moderate amount of beer evenly to the hair, massage for 10 minutes, and rinse off with water. You will notice that your hair becomes shinier.

Ginger and Goji Berry for Preventing Hair Loss: Both ginger and goji berries stimulate hair growth. Boil ginger and goji berries, apply the mixture to the hair, and let it air dry. After an hour, wash it off. Apply it every night for about a month to effectively prevent hair loss.

Honey and Egg Oil for Improving Thinning Hair: Mix 1 teaspoon of honey, 1 egg yolk, 1 teaspoon of castor oil, 2 teaspoons of shampoo, and an appropriate amount of onion juice. Apply the mixture to the scalp, massage gently, and rinse off after 1 hour. Consistently use this mixture for about a month to effectively improve thinning hair.
