What to look for after corrective vision surgery

September 9, 2023
Vision correction surgery is a relatively minor surgery, and after the surgery we all expect to achieve the desired results, then after the surgery just pay attention to a few points to make us better recovery.

Pay attention to diet

To avoid aggravating eye discomfort, do not eat irritating foods, especially spicy foods, for 1 week after surgery.

Pay attention to the protection of the operated eye

It will take some time for the eye to reach its normal state after surgery, so it is necessary to protect the eye during this period. For one month after surgery, you should wear wind-blocking glasses or sunglasses when you go out, and wear an eye shield when you sleep to prevent the corneal flap from shifting. When washing your hair and face, be careful not to splash water into your eyes and not to rub your eyes for 2 weeks after surgery. Do not swim for 1 month after surgery and do not use cosmetics on the eye to avoid getting into the eye and affecting the operated eye. Avoid external blows to the operated eye for 3 months after surgery.

Pay attention to eye hygiene

After surgery, the eye has not fully recovered and may appear to be blurred, so it is necessary to wear our usual glasses, and in this case, avoid prolonged fatigue and close use of the eye.

Pay attention to personal emotions

Just after the vision correction surgery, there may still be some discomfort, not completely clear to see the outside world, this time to have a good attitude, do not be anxious, learn to control their emotions, do not get too excited, such as tears is not allowed, that will possibly lead to the surgery eye corneal flap displacement.
