Is a white tongue AIDS?

Causes of white tongue

Cold spleen and stomach

When the white tongue is caused by indigestion, we should reduce the intake of greasy and meat, and eat more fresh vegetables and fruits or easy-to-digest foods such as eight-pot porridge and black rice porridge. Mostly light, spicy, tobacco and alcohol are prohibited.

What does an AIDS tongue look like?

Hairy white spots

White or gray lesions that occur on both edges of the tongue and can also extend to the belly and back of the tongue and cannot be erased.

Erythema pseudomembranosum

Mostly on the palate and dorsum of the tongue, white spots or plaques are sometimes seen on the red areas of the lesions; they can appear anywhere in the mouth.

Kaposi's sarcoma

Mostly single or multiple red, light blue or purple plaques or masses present with the palate and gums. Depending on the individual's physique the symptoms of AIDS manifestation may be different, or there may be no symptoms at all. If you suspect the presence of AIDS, you should go to the hospital for an HIV antibody test, and if the test result is negative, you can exclude the possibility of HIV infection.
