How to wash your face alternately with hot and cold water

April 30, 2023
Many people know that washing your face with hot and cold water can help deep cleanse and also effectively shrink your pores, which is a good way to wash your face. However, many people do not know how to use alternating hot and cold water to wash their face. Learn it quickly.

Wash your face with warm water first

Before washing your face, moisten your face with warm water of about 35 degrees, which is good for the subsequent use of facial cleanser. This will help the face wash to work. Also, the water temperature of about 35 degrees can make the pores open and play a good cleaning effect. Note that you only need to moisten your face for the first time.

Using the cleanser

After rinsing your face with warm water, squeeze out an appropriate amount of cleanser, rub it in your palms to make lather, and then put it on your face in a circular motion from bottom to top, especially in the T-zone, where oil and dirt are most likely to be hidden. Wash for about 3 minutes.

Rinse with warm water

After lathering your face with the cleanser, make sure you have washed all corners of your skin, then rinse off your face with warm water. Pay special attention to residual foam on the chin, hairline, and sides of the nose to avoid causing acne.

Patting cool water

After washing your face with lukewarm water, pat your skin with cool water at about 30 degrees. Just be careful to gently pat your face several times after cupping the water with both hands. Be sure to do this after the face wash foam has been rinsed off to avoid damage to the skin from cleanser residue.

Wipe off the water

After washing your face, you can use a clean towel to absorb the moisture from the surface of your skin and gently press the towel to dry it. Alternatively, use a cotton pad to gently wipe the skin to dry the moisture without damaging the skin.

Lastly, hydrate and moisturize

After washing your face and drying the residual water on the surface, you should immediately use make-up water, moisturizing lotion, etc., to hydrate and moisturize your skin in time to replenish the water lost during the face washing process and make your skin hydrated and soft.
