April 14, 2023
Summer is here and exfoliation has become a must for many beauty loving women. In order to de-stress their skin, seaweed mud, scrubs, and face scrubs all come together. Many people believe that you don't need to exfoliate in the summer. Depending on what each person says is different, it can't help but make a lot of beauty loving women question. Should we exfoliate in summer or not, is it good to exfoliate in summer?

Is it good to exfoliate in summer?

The number of times you exfoliate in summer should not be too frequent, just exfoliate 1 to 2 times a week. After doing the exfoliation, to immediately do a good job of hydration and moisturizing, try not to immediately sun, because just after the exfoliation work of the skin is relatively thin, but also more fragile, need to be well protected. In summer, the cuticle is transferred from the face to the whole body, elbows, knees, high heels, etc. If not treated properly, those beautiful summer clothes will only discourage people. Compared to the face exfoliation method, the body exfoliation has a lot of targeted different methods.

Exfoliation techniques are important

When exfoliating the face, the technique must be gentle, otherwise the sebaceous film may be abraded, making the skin fragile. The key areas for facial exfoliation should be the T area with more oil and larger pores. The most delicate skin around the eyes, lips, and areas with wounds, allergies, and inflammation should not be coated with exfoliating products.

Choose exfoliating products according to body parts

Many people think that the exfoliating effect is directly proportional to the size of the particles, but it is not. Only parts with thicker cuticles such as elbows, knees and heels are suitable for products with coarser particles. Arms, thighs and other parts of the skin delicate, if you use large particles of exfoliating products, but will hurt the skin. In addition, the summer sweat and oil secretion is more, fine particles of the product can penetrate deep into the pores to remove dirt.

Body exfoliation no more than 2 times a week

The sebaceous glands in the body are about 7 times less than in the face, so the legs, arms and elbows are more likely to be "dehydrated" and have more aged keratin. Generally speaking, the skin cell renewal cycle is 28 days, but if the skin is dehydrated and dry, this process will slow down. At this time, it is necessary to "artificially exfoliate". However, exfoliation should not be too frequent. Because the stratum corneum has a moisturizing and UV protection function, excessive exfoliation can bring other skin problems. Generally, the maximum number of times per week should not exceed 2.

Face and body exfoliators should not be mixed

Due to the different sebaceous glands and their own thickness, the exfoliation of the face and body skin should be used with targeted products. Body skin, especially legs, arms and elbows are particularly prone to dryness, and face exfoliators are difficult to meet the needs of body care; on the other hand, face skin is more delicate than body skin, more sensitive, so the coarser particles in body exfoliators may cause harm to it.

Body exfoliation is best done in the shower

Soak in the shower for 10 minutes to slowly soften the cuticles, then take a little exfoliating product and rub it gently with your hands to remove the aging cuticles from your body. It must be noted that the water temperature should not be too high, about 40 ℃, a little higher than the body temperature can be. Because once the water temperature is too high, it will make the surface of the skin a lot of oil loss, thus making the skin dry. After exfoliating, you can properly spray a little with astringent pore effect of the spray and so on, the effect will be better.
