This acupuncture technique is the most ideal method for treating rheumatic and cold conditions. It can effectively treat conditions such as arthritis, frozen shoulder, limb paralysis, and muscle atrophy by targeting specific acupuncture points or tender points. The needles are heated to 45℃ and left in place for 30 to 60 minutes. Only 1 to 3 needles are used at important locations each time.
For treating stomach and intestinal deficiency-cold conditions, such as indigestion, diarrhea, stomach pain with aversion to cold, and cold-induced back pain, two acupuncture points on the stomach meridian can be needled. The needles are heated to 45 to 50℃ (causing slight pain to the patient) and left in place for 30 minutes before removal.
In addition, electric acupuncture can also be used to treat conditions such as vitiligo and cancer.
