【Cultivation Methods of Wuzhao Feng】
1. Characteristics of Wuzhao Feng
Wuzhao Feng prefers an environment with abundant sunlight, mild climate, and relative humidity. It has strong adaptability and can be cultivated in high mountains, hills, and plains. It does not have strict requirements for soil and is often found in wastelands, field edges, or roadsides. It grows better in well-drained sandy soil with good sunlight and moisture.
2. Cultivation Techniques
Mainly propagated by dividing rhizomes. Dig out new plants growing on the creeping stems of old plants as seedlings, each with its own rootlets. Planting is usually done in spring (March-April) or autumn (September-October), with autumn planting being preferable. Dig holes with a spacing of 20cm, plant 2-3 seedlings per hole, cover the soil and press it firmly, and apply a thin layer of livestock manure or diluted human urine as fertilizer.
3. Field Management
After planting, water the plants in a timely manner. For plants planted in autumn, cultivate and remove weeds in mid-December of the same year, and apply fertilizer once. In the following years, weeds should be removed at any time, and shallow plowing and additional fertilization should be carried out once in May and September-October after two harvests. Livestock manure or ammonium sulfate can be used as fertilizers. After 3-4 years of continuous harvesting, the cultivation site should be changed.
