What Causes Emission

Stimulation from pornographic books and videos

This condition often occurs in young people. Due to the mystery of the opposite sex, they consciously or unconsciously watch pornographic books and videos, which stimulates the cerebral cortical center and leads to emission or nocturnal emission. Initially, this is a normal phenomenon, but long-term emission can disrupt the function of the sexual arousal center and become a pathological condition.

Long-term masturbation

Masturbation is quite common, with about 90% of males and 60% of females engaging in it during adolescence. It occurs most frequently in the middle school to high school stage. Generally, after the age of 18, the frequency of masturbation decreases. However, some people continue to masturbate for long periods of time even after marriage, forming a pathological psychological habit of masturbation. These patients often have concurrent neurasthenia, leading to frequent nocturnal emissions.

Excessive sexual intercourse

Excessive sexual intercourse enhances the excitement of the cerebral cortex towards sex, resulting in quick erections and ejaculations, or ejaculation and nocturnal emissions with even slight stimulation or erotic thoughts.

Local lesions

Local lesions in the reproductive or urinary system, such as phimosis, foreskin elongation, urethritis, prostatitis, etc., can stimulate the genitals and cause emission.

Weak constitution

If the functions of various organs are not strong enough, such as incomplete cerebral cortex function, the control of the lower sexual center is lost, and the excitation of the erection and ejaculation centers is enhanced, emission can also occur.

How to Prevent Emission in Daily Life

Do not treat physiological phenomena as diseases and increase mental burden

If an adult who is unmarried or has been separated from their spouse for 1-2 weeks experiences emission once, without any discomfort after emission, this is a physiological phenomenon. Do not worry excessively, carry the burden of thoughts, and create unnecessary troubles for yourself.

Do not interrupt emission during ejaculation

Do not interrupt emission during ejaculation by pinching the penis with your hand to prevent the semen from flowing out, as retaining semen can lead to retrograde ejaculation and cause other diseases. After emission, avoid getting cold and do not take a cold shower to prevent the invasion of cold pathogenic factors.

Avoid watching pornographic content

Eliminate distracting thoughts and do not read or watch pornographic books, videos, movies, or television. Quit masturbation. Engage in appropriate physical activities, physical labor, and recreational activities to strengthen the body and cultivate one's mind.

Pay attention to diet

Reduce the intake of stimulating substances such as tobacco, alcohol, tea, coffee, onions, garlic, and spicy foods. Avoid using hot water for bathing. Sleep in a position with knees flexed and lying on the side. The bedding should not be too thick, and underwear should not be too tight.
