How to handle non-stick pans for the first time

Go to the mark to clean up

Just bought a non-stick pan, in addition to the pan inside that label inside and outside are dry and clean, some people tear the label when there is residue, labeling the gum long-term stay in the non-stick pan inside will affect health. Suggestion: When you buy a non-stick pan, you can drop some windex on it and leave it for a few minutes to easily tear off the label.

Cookware cleaning

Use water or warm water to clean the non-stick cookware, you can put a small amount of detergent, after cleaning with a soft cloth or kitchen paper to wipe the non-stick pan clean. Note: The coating of non-stick pans is very fragile and not easy to use cleaning tools with strong cleanliness, such as wire balls. Generally use a soft cloth and professional kitchen paper to clean non-stick pans.

Maintenance of wet pan

It is best to perform a maintenance before using a non-stick pan. Apply a layer of vegetable oil on the surface, bake it on the fire for about 20 minutes after it is evenly coated, clean it after it cools naturally, dry it and place it for one night, and then you can use it.

Selection of spatula

Non-stick cookware requires a non-metallic, non-sharp spatula. When cooking, you can choose a wooden or bamboo spatula to avoid sharp spatula damage to the non-stick coating.

Cooking temperature

Non-stick pans are not suitable for cooking with high heat, and high heat does not speed up the cooking speed. Medium heat is the best choice, and it also saves energy.

Caution

If you are cooking over high heat you should pay attention to avoid dry burning, which will cause the non-stick pan to heat up and decompose carcinogenic substances.
