【Explanation of Formula】
This formula combines the modifications of Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang and Gui Pi Tang into one formula. The use of Chao Sheng Ma and Chai Hu from Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang raises the yang and lifts the sinking qi, which promotes the upward movement of blood. The use of Chao Zao Ren, Yuan Zhi, and Gui Yuan Rou from Gui Pi Tang nourishes the heart and calms the mind, which stabilizes the qi. Additionally, Shan Yu Rou and Shu Di Huang are added. The former has a sour and warm nature, which helps constrict the blood and qi, while the latter has a sweet and warm nature, which nourishes the essence and blood. Hai Piao Xiao and Wu Qian Cao are added to regulate the Chong and Ren channels and prevent blood stasis. Therefore, this formula overall has the functions of nourishing qi, regulating blood, strengthening the spleen, calming the mind, and regulating the Chong and Ren channels.
