Looking at the beautiful scenery outside the window, people locked in the office always seem lazy and lack energy. This is called "spring fatigue". "Spring fatigue" is mainly related to the weather, work, diet, sleep, and lack of exercise. Sometimes, this phenomenon also indicates sub-health.
Tips for Preventing Fatigue:
Do deep breathing exercises and aerobic exercises to increase lung capacity. Drink plenty of water and avoid oily and hot foods, especially hot pot. Eat foods rich in vitamins such as carrots, cabbage, and citrus fruits. Take enough protein to boost your energy. Additionally, performing a head massage can help relieve symptoms.
1. Eight Treasures Duck
Ingredients: 10g Codonopsis pilosula, 10g Poria cocos, 10g Chinese Angelica, 10g Rehmannia glutinosa, 5g fried Atractylodes macrocephala, 5g white peony root, 5g Szechuan lovage rhizome, 5g baked Licorice root, 1 duck (about 1500g), 30g ginger, 30g spring onion, 10g cooking wine, 10g refined salt, 2g monosodium glutamate, 1000ml pork bone soup.
Function: This dish has the effect of replenishing qi and blood. It is suitable for weakness due to deficiency of qi and blood, pale complexion, and neurasthenia. Patients with fever and surgical suppurative ulcers should not take it.
Cooking method: Wash Codonopsis pilosula, Poria cocos, Chinese Angelica, Rehmannia glutinosa, fried Atractylodes macrocephala, white peony root, Szechuan lovage rhizome, and baked Licorice root separately. Pack them in a gauze bag and tie it tightly. Soak it in water. Wash ginger and spring onion. After slaughtering the duck, scald and remove the feathers, cut it open, remove the internal organs, and wash it. Stuff the bag of herbs into the duck's belly, sew it up. Put it in a clay pot with the belly facing up, place ginger and spring onion on top, pour in pork bone soup, add cooking wine and refined salt, cover tightly. Boil it over high heat, skim off the foam, then simmer over low heat until the duck meat is tender. Remove the ginger, spring onion, and bag of herbs, turn the duck over in the soup pot, pour in the original soup, add monosodium glutamate, and mix well. Serve in 2-3 portions, eat the duck meat and drink the soup while hot.
2. Eucommia Bark Tofu
Ingredients: 125g dried black beans, 5 small taro roots, 60g Chinese yam, 60g radish, 9g spring onion, 9g Cistanche deserticola, a few dried small fish, 2 pieces of tofu.
Function: This dish eliminates fatigue, prolongs life, enhances male sexual function, and promotes pregnancy in women. It is suitable for those who are prone to fatigue and have declined physiological functions.
Cooking method: Boil the Cistanche deserticola in about 6 cups of water over low heat for about 1 hour. When it is reduced to 4 cups, remove the residue and add a little dried small fish to the soup. Crush the black beans and Chinese yam, slice the radish, and cut the taro into pieces. Put the medicinal juice into the pot, add the black beans and Chinese yam, stir well, cover the pot and bring to a boil. Then add the radish and taro, cover the pot and continue cooking. When it boils, add the tofu cut into small pieces and seasonings, and cook until the tofu floats. Remove from heat, add seasoning, and serve. Can be used as a side dish.
3. Bamboo Shoot Rice
Ingredients: 15g Dodder seed, 125g bamboo shoots, appropriate amount of rice flour, soy sauce, and white rice.
Function: This dish replenishes qi, assists yang, promotes sleep, stimulates appetite, and relieves fatigue. It is suitable for fatigue, poor appetite, and sleep disorders.
Cooking method: Cook the rice. Boil Dodder seed over low heat with about 2 cups of water for 1 hour. When it is reduced to half, filter out the residue and add a little dried shrimp. Crush the black beans and taste enhancer, slice the radish, and cut the taro into pieces. Put the medicinal juice into the pot, add the black beans and taste enhancer, stir well, cover the pot and bring to a boil. Then add the radish and taro, cover the pot and continue cooking. 4. Goji Beef
Ingredients: 500g beef, 18g goji berries, 3 tablespoons of butter, 2 carrots, 2 potatoes, 2 onions, a few tender pea pods, tomato juice, salt, black pepper, and cornstarch.
Function: This dish enhances energy and relieves fatigue. It is used to treat fatigue and lack of energy.
Cooking method: Wash the goji berries. Cut the beef into 3cm-sized cubes and mix with the above ingredients. After the butter is melted, add the beef and cook until it changes color. Then add half of the onions and stir-fry together. Add tomato juice, goji berries, and water, stew for 2 hours. Add carrots and potatoes and continue cooking. When boiling, add the pea pods, the other half of the onions, and a little salt. Cook for about 5 minutes, remove from heat, add cornstarch to thicken. Serve in 1/5 portions.
5. Polygonum Multiflorum Astragalus Red Date Soup
Ingredients: 20g prepared Polygonum multiflorum, 15g Astragalus, 10 red dates, 200g chicken meat.
Function: This dish replenishes qi and blood, nourishes the liver and kidneys. It is used for deficiency of qi and blood, fatigue and weakness, dizziness, tinnitus, insomnia, forgetfulness, palpitations, timidity, and other symptoms caused by liver and kidney deficiency.
Cooking method: Wash the prepared Polygonum multiflorum and Astragalus, and seal them in a gauze bag. Wash the red dates and chicken meat. Cut the chicken meat into small pieces. Put them together in a clay pot, add an appropriate amount of water, bring to a boil, then simmer over low heat for 2 hours. Remove the bag of herbs, season, and serve. Can be served with meals.
6. Five Flavor Black Chicken Blood Tonic Soup
Ingredients: 1 black-bone chicken, 15g cooked Rehmannia glutinosa, 15g Chinese Angelica, 15g white peony root, 15g Achyranthes bidentata, 15g Anemarrhena asphodeloides, 15g ginger, spring onion, refined salt, monosodium glutamate, appropriate amount.
Function: This dish replenishes qi and blood, invigorates the spleen and stomach, and nourishes the liver and kidneys. It is suitable for fatigue, weakness, lack of energy, lack of appetite, pale complexion, insomnia, dizziness, and leg weakness caused by liver and kidney deficiency.
Cooking method: Wash the cooked Rehmannia glutinosa, Chinese Angelica, white peony root, Achyranthes bidentata, and Anemarrhena asphodeloides, and slice them. Then pack them in a gauze bag and tie it tightly. After slaughtering the black-bone chicken, scald and remove the feathers, cut it open, remove the internal organs, and wash it. Stuff the bag of herbs into the chicken's belly, sew it up. Put it in a pot, add 1500ml of water, steam over high heat for 2 hours. Open the bag of herbs, add seasonings, and continue steaming for 10 minutes. Serve. Can be served with meals, eat the chicken meat and drink the soup while hot.
7. Shrimp and Tofu Soup
Ingredients: 250g tofu, 35g shrimp, 20g shiitake mushrooms, 30g goji berries, 100g baby bok choy, 10g ginger strips, refined salt, monosodium glutamate, appropriate amount.
Function: This dish replenishes deficiency and invigorates the body. It is suitable for those who are physically weak, prone to fatigue, have poor appetite, dizziness, and numbness in the hands and feet.
Cooking method: Wash the shrimp and goji berries. Soak the shiitake mushrooms and cut them into shreds. Wash the baby bok choy and cut it into shreds. Put the above ingredients and ginger strips into the pot, add an appropriate amount of water, bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer over low heat for 30 minutes.
