【Ingredients】
Meatballs, 1/3 cabbage, 2 cups water, 2 tbsp white wine, 400g tomatoes, 2 tsp sugar, 2 tbsp tomato sauce, 1 tbsp cooking oil, 40g shredded cheese, a pinch of black pepper.
【Instructions】
1. Cut a cross on the top of the tomatoes, put them in a bowl, pour boiling water over them until the skin cracks, then remove them and cool them in cold water. Peel and dice the tomatoes. Soak bread crumbs in milk to moisten them.
2. Mix ground beef with onion, egg, milk-soaked bread crumbs, salt, and black pepper. Stir well and knead the mixture to make evenly-sized meatballs.
3. Pour a layer of oil into a frying pan, place the meatballs in it, and cook over low heat. Fry until both sides are golden brown, then pour in the white wine to let the alcohol evaporate. Add the diced tomatoes and water, cover the pan, and boil for 10 minutes.
4. Open the lid, skim off any impurities, and add sliced cabbage. Push the cabbage into the sauce without covering the pan and continue cooking for about 3 minutes.
5. Add tomato sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and salt to taste. Stir well and cook for another 2 minutes. Finally, sprinkle with shredded cheese and serve.
