February 9, 2024

Tianma is a common medicine for dizziness. When we go to the pharmacy to buy medicine, we often see Tianma pills, Tianma granules, and other Chinese patent medicines. These are actually essential medicines for treating headaches and numbness, and the main ingredient in these Chinese patent medicines is Tianma!

Treatment of Headaches with Tianma

Soak Tianma in water and add sugar for 5 minutes until the Tianma slices become soft. As we all know, Tianma is very hard when it is dry and needs to be soaked in water before it can be cut open. Soak the black fungus in cold water in advance and wash it after it is soaked.

Clean the chicken's internal organs. Remove the skin from the chicken thighs and remove the fat from the surface of the meat. This can make the chicken meat softer. Then cut the chicken thighs into small pieces. Cut the soaked Tianma into small dices and scrape and wash the ginger, then slice it and set it aside.

Put the chicken pieces, Tianma, black fungus, and ginger slices into a pot that has already been heated, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Then simmer on low heat for about 30 minutes. Add salt to taste after simmering.

Whether it is migraine or headache, eating this can greatly improve the symptoms by the next day, and it can help relieve pain and cure the condition in just three days.

Precautions

Because Tianma has a good therapeutic effect on headaches and dizziness, many middle-aged and elderly people take Tianma whenever they have a headache. However, this practice is very dangerous.

In traditional Chinese medicine, treatment is based on differentiation of symptoms and signs. Although Tianma can treat headaches and dizziness, it is not suitable for all cases. For example, if the headaches and dizziness are caused by deficiency of qi and blood or stagnation of qi and blood, Tianma will not be effective.

Therefore, when experiencing headaches and dizziness, it is recommended to go to the hospital to find the cause first and then take targeted medication. In addition, as the saying goes, "Every medicine has its toxicity." Long-term use of medication can also cause certain damage to the body.
