Clinical manifestations of dampness and spleen-type intestinal dysfunction:
Abdominal distension, abdominal pain, intestinal murmurs, diarrhea, worsening of abdominal pain and diarrhea with improper diet, poor digestion with little appetite, nausea and vomiting, fatigue and heaviness, difficulty urinating, pale and fat tongue, greasy white coating, weak or slippery pulse.
【Mung Bean and Chinese Yam Congee】
Ingredients: 60g mung beans, 60g Chinese yam, 50g glutinous rice.
Method: Put all the ingredients in a pot, add an appropriate amount of water and cook into a congee.
Effects: Tonify the spleen, nourish the stomach, and stop diarrhea.
Usage: Can be eaten as breakfast or dinner, or as a snack.
【Coix Seed and Fox Nut Wine】
Ingredients: 25g coix seeds, 25g fox nuts, 500ml white wine.
Method: Put the coix seeds and fox nuts into a wine jar, pour in the wine and mix well, cover the jar tightly, stir once every 2 days, and soak for 15 days.
Effects: Tonify the spleen, remove dampness, and stop diarrhea.
Usage: Mung Bean and Chinese Yam Congee
【Coix Seed Congee】
Ingredients: 30g coix seeds, 60g glutinous rice.
Method: Cook the coix seeds and glutinous rice with an appropriate amount of water into a congee.
Effects: Tonify the spleen and remove dampness.
Usage: Take twice a day, warm.
【Charred Rice Congee】
Ingredients: 100g glutinous rice.
Method: Stir-fry the glutinous rice until charred, then add an appropriate amount of water and cook into a thin congee.
Effects: Tonify the spleen and eliminate dampness.
Usage: Take 2-3 times a day, warm.
【Plantago Seed Tea】
Ingredients: 10g roasted plantago seeds, 3g black tea.
Method: Brew the two ingredients with boiling water, cover and steep for 10 minutes, or decoct the two ingredients with water to make a concentrated solution.
Effects: Tonify the spleen, promote diuresis, and stop diarrhea.
Usage: Take 1-2 doses daily, divided into 2 servings, warm.
