Jicaizi, also known as Jishi, Cha, and Jishuganshi, is a medicinal herb that first appeared in "Qian Jin. Food Therapy". It is the seed of the cruciferous plant Jicai. Also known as Jishi, Cha, Jishuganshi, Jizi.
Benefits of Jicaizi
Dispels wind and improves vision. It is used for eye pain, cataracts, and visual impairment.
Functions of Jicaizi
Treats jaundice: Take one to two liang of Jicaizi, one to two liang of Daqing root or leaves, decoct in water and take orally. (From "Hunan Materia Medica")
1. "Wu Pu Ben Cao": Treats bloating.
2. "Bie Lu": Improves vision, treats eye pain.
3. "Yao Xing Lun": Treats cataracts, inability to see objects, and deficiency of the five organs.
4. "Shi Xing Ben Cao": Treats stagnation, dispels wind, removes toxins, improves vision, and removes eye impediments. Prolonged consumption improves vision.
