Zhenshi Tang is a diuretic that dispels dampness and has the function of warming yang and promoting water metabolism. It is mainly used to treat symptoms of yang deficiency and water retention, such as heavy limbs, difficult urination, dizziness, and blurred vision. It can also be used clinically to treat palpitations and fatigue.
Observation: The tongue is swollen and large, with teeth marks on the edges. The muscles of the upper limbs twitch involuntarily, and there is excessive sweating on the face, indicating fatigue.
Pulse examination: The pulse is weak and slow.
Inquiry: The patient's diet and bowel movements are normal. However, due to continuous muscle twitching (especially in the limbs), the patient is unable to fall asleep at night and experiences weakness when walking.
Prescription: Zhenshi Tang
Composition: Prepared Aconite Root 15g, Radix Paeoniae Alba 45g, Radix Paeoniae Rubra 45g, Poria Cocos 45g, Dried Ginger 45g, Fresh Ginger (sliced) 45g, White Atractylodes Rhizome 30g.
Dosage: Three doses.
Preparation and administration: Soak the herbs in 3 liters of cold water for 20 minutes, then boil for 20 minutes after the water boils. Divide into three doses and take them hot after meals.
Avoid: Cold and raw food, mung beans, and pork.
