Chuan Fang Feng, also known as Zhu Jie Fang Feng, Mao Qian Hu, or Xi Feng, is the root of the plant Chuan Fang Feng from the family Umbelliferae. Chuan Fang Feng has the functions of dispelling wind, overcoming dampness, and relieving pain. It is mainly used to treat wind-cold type of common cold.

Identification: The root of Chuan Fang Feng is conical in shape, slightly curved, 8-12 cm long, and 1-1.5 cm in diameter.
The surface is brown, with common brown spots where the cork layer has peeled off. There are irregular longitudinal grooves and dense lateral root marks, and the top of the root has residual stems, slightly branching, with indistinct rings.
The texture is hard, easy to break, and the cross section is dense. It has a slight fragrance and a sweet taste.
