Chinese angelica: It is used to nourish blood, regulate menstruation, and relieve pain. Chuanxiong: It promotes blood circulation, dispels wind, and relieves pain. It is used for chest pain, chest and rib pain, swelling and pain from falls, irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, abdominal pain, headache, and rheumatic pain.
Safflower: It promotes blood circulation, removes blood stasis, and relieves pain. It is used for menstrual blockage, dysmenorrhea, postpartum lochia stagnation, masses, chest pain, abdominal pain due to blood stasis, chest and rib pain, falls and injuries, and painful sores.
Red peony: It dispels blood stasis, relieves pain, cools the blood, and reduces swelling. It treats stagnant blood causing menstrual blockage, hernia and accumulation, abdominal pain, rib pain, bloody nose, bloody dysentery, intestinal wind causing blood in the stool, red eyes, and boils and swelling.
Xishai grass: It dispels wind and dampness, benefits the joints, and detoxifies. It is used for rheumatic pain, weakness of tendons and bones, lumbago and knee weakness, limb paralysis, hemiplegia, and wind rash and wet sores.
