1. Didancao for treating lung heat cough
If you have lung heat cough, with repeated coughing, expectoration of yellow phlegm, and symptoms such as dry mouth, sore throat, body heat, red urine, and constipation, you can use 30g of Didancao and 30g of Fulingcao together, decocted in water and taken orally.
2. Didancao for treating boils and carbuncles
If it is boils and carbuncles caused by scratching after prickly heat, or acute suppurative inflammation of hair follicles or sebaceous glands, you can use 60 to 120g of fresh Didancao, decocted in water and taken orally;
Then use a small amount of fermented grain residues and an appropriate amount of fresh Didancao, mash them and apply externally or decoct them for external washing.
3. Didancao for treating jaundice hepatitis
If you have jaundice hepatitis, feel weak, nauseous, and aversion to oily food, with yellowing of the skin and mucous membranes, ranging from light yellow to golden yellow. You can use 60g of whole Didancao, decocted in water and taken orally.
4. Didancao for treating acute otitis media
If you have acute otitis media, feel pain in the ears, and have symptoms of cold, cough, and upper respiratory tract infection, you can use fresh Didancao, cleaned and dried, mashed and juiced, and put a few drops into the ears, 3 to 4 times a day.
