Suiguazi can be used in two ways, externally and internally. External use usually involves crushing and applying it to wounds, which can stop bleeding, promote blood circulation, and reduce swelling.
For internal use, since its main function is diuresis and removing internal heat, we will introduce two main usage methods, along with their corresponding dosages and symptoms:
For diuresis in the treatment of nephritis: Take 5 qian (15 grams) of Suiguazi rhizome, which is the rhizome of bamboo leaves, and 5 qian (15 grams) of Dijin, decoct them in water, and take it warm. Take one dose daily.
For relieving internal heat in the treatment of fever and restlessness: Take 3-5 qian (9-15 grams) of Suiguazi rhizome, which is the rhizome or leaves of bamboo leaves, decoct them in water, and take it warm.
