It is used for jaundice hepatitis, lymph node tuberculosis, hypertension, facial paralysis, hemiplegia; externally used for treating bruises, fractures, and impetigo.
Chemical composition: the leaves contain cyclic ant aldehyde glycosides: wild sesame glycoside, deacetylated wild sesame glycoside, wild sesame new glycoside, and dehydroxy wild sesame new glycoside.
The content of wild sesame new glycoside in fresh leaves is about 0.02%.
