Liu Jinu can enter the heart meridian, liver meridian, and spleen meridian. It has various effects such as promoting blood circulation, stopping bleeding, and reducing swelling. It can treat women's amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, and postpartum blood stasis pain. When taken regularly, it can be decocted and taken orally, with a dosage ranging from five to ten grams.

2. Anti-inflammatory and antidiarrheal

Liu Jinu not only can contract the intestines but also eliminate various pathogens in the intestines. It can treat dysentery and diarrhea in humans. When needed, take an equal amount of Liu Jinu, white ginger, and black plum, and then boil them with water. After boiling, take the hot liquid orally.

3. Promoting blood circulation and relieving pain

When people experience swelling or blood stasis due to bruises or injuries, Liu Jinu can be used for treatment. Take 25 grams of Liu Jinu, half a portion of Huangjiu (a type of Chinese wine), and half a portion of water, stew in a pot for one hour, and then take it out. Drink it warm twice a day. 1. Liu Jinu Drink

Prescription: 20 grams of Liu Jinu (remove stalks), 10 grams of Chinese angelica (remove husk, cut, and fry), 5 grams of licorice (fry and file).

Preparation: Grind the above ingredients into coarse powder.

Usage: Take 5 grams per serving, 1.5 bowls of water, add 7 slices of ginger, simmer until 70% of the liquid remains, remove the residue, and take it hot. For the treatment of postpartum lochia retention, septicemia, restlessness, thirst, dizziness, hallucinations, abdominal pain, nausea, and loss of appetite.

2. Liu Jinu Decoction

Prescription: 75 grams of Liu Jinu, 60 grams of red peony (filed and fried), 30 grams of white poria (remove black skin), 45 grams each of chuanxiong and Chinese angelica (cut and fry), 120 grams of mugwort leaf (fried).

Preparation: Grind the above six ingredients into coarse powder.

Usage: Take 6 grams per serving, 150 milliliters of water, simmer until 100 milliliters remain, remove the residue, take it on an empty stomach, twice a day. It is used for the treatment of excessive menstrual bleeding in women.
