【Habitat of Zhanggong Fish】
It has a cylindrical body shape, slightly flattened on the back. The total length is about 30 cm. The head is slightly pointed, with large scales on the head, a large mouth, and a slightly inclined mouth slit. Both jaws, the vomer, and the operculum have teeth; the lower jaw also has large teeth. There are 59-62 lateral line scales. The dorsal and anal fins are long, with 47 dorsal fin rays, 14 pectoral fin rays, 29 anal fin rays, and no pelvic fins. The caudal fin is elliptical. The body color is brownish-gray, lighter on the abdomen, with 11 "V"-shaped black stripes on the body side. There is a large black spot at the base of the caudal fin and above the pectoral fin.
