1. Pneumonia, lung abscess, empyema
Take 60g of fresh Da Wei Yao, decoct with honey and take orally; or take 60-120g of fresh Da Wei Yao, mash and squeeze the juice, mix with honey and take orally.
2. Testicular swelling
Take fresh Da Wei Yao root, 60g each time, take with boiled green duck eggs; or use fresh root to decoct with water and mix with white sugar for oral administration.
3. Boils
Take 60g of fresh Da Wei Yao, chop it, add 1000ml of water, simmer until 500ml. Take 20ml each time, 3 times a day, after meals. Adjust the dosage for children. Clinical observations have shown that it is effective for boils in the early stage, suppurative stage, and tissue necrosis stage, with better results when used in the early stage.
【 Botanical Morphology of Da Wei Yao 】
Da Wei Yao is also known as Gou Wei Cao, Quan Chong Cao. It is an annual herbaceous plant, 15-60cm tall. The root is cylindrical and turns yellow-brown when dry. The stem is erect, stout, and branched, with rough hairs.
Leaves: Opposite or nearly opposite, wrinkled, about 5-10cm long, ovate or triangular-ovate.
Flowers: Green sepals, pale blue-purple or white corolla, 5 stamens, the inflorescence is terminal, a unilateral spike-like inflorescence, with small flowers densely growing on the upper side of the axis, gradually opening from the bottom to the top, flowering from May to September.
The terminal inflorescence is arranged in a forked scorpion-like manner, with the entire inflorescence reaching 15cm in length, and the tip curling like a caterpillar, which is why it is also called Ear Hook Grass.
Fruit: It is a follicle fruit formed by the fusion of two small achenes.

2. Treatment of abdominal pain due to scrofula: Take 50-100g of fresh Da Wei Yao. Decoct and take orally.
