The Chinese medicine "Xueshan Yizhihao" is highly toxic and should not be used indiscriminately. Xueshan Yizhihao is the rhizome of the plant Aconitum gymnandrum, which belongs to the family Ranunculaceae. It is distributed in Tibet and other regions. It has the effects of dispelling wind and dampness, promoting blood circulation, and resolving stasis.

[Applications of Xueshan Yizhihao]
1. Painful conditions
This herb has a pungent, dispersing, and warming nature, and is particularly effective in relieving pain. It is commonly used to treat various types of pain, including rheumatic pain, neuralgia, toothache, trauma-induced pain, postoperative pain, and cancer-related pain. It can be taken orally as a powder, applied externally as a wine-soaked compress, or prepared as an injection.
2. Insect and snake bites
This herb can counteract the toxins of bites by promoting blood circulation and relieving pain. It can be applied externally as a wine-soaked compress to treat abscesses, venomous insect bites, snake bites, bee stings, etc.
[Processing of Xueshan Yizhihao]
1. Soak Xueshan Yizhihao in cold water, changing the water 2-3 times a day, until there is no tingling sensation when tasted. Remove it and cook it with licorice and black beans until the center is no longer white. Then dry it.
2. Soak it in clean water for 7 days, changing the water twice a day. Slice it after the center becomes soft and translucent, and steam it in a steamer for 2-3 hours. Then dry it.
Stir-fry it thoroughly with hot lard, or wrap it in wet paper and place it next to charcoal fire until thoroughly heated, remove the paper, soak it in children's urine for a day and night, then remove it, rinse it, and dry it.
[Symptoms of Xueshan Yizhihao poisoning]
Xueshan Yizhihao is highly toxic, and the toxic reaction occurs within 0.5 to 3 hours after administration. The main symptoms are as follows: mild cases may experience drowsiness, burning sensation in the mouth, and increased secretion;
Moderate cases may have numbness, weakness, coldness, bloating, discomfort in the throat, nausea, vomiting, excessive salivation, dizziness, palpitations, restlessness, abdominal pain, and urge to defecate;
Severe cases may experience fainting, cold limbs, irregular heartbeat, decreased blood pressure, difficulty breathing, convulsions, and coma. The electrocardiogram may show frequent premature contractions. In severe cases, death may occur due to circulatory and respiratory failure.
