Sui Gu Zi, a traditional Chinese medicine. It is the rhizome and tuber of Lophatherum gracile Brongn or Lophatherum sinense Rendle, both of which belong to the family Poaceae. It has the function of clearing heat and promoting diuresis. It is often used for fever, thirst, restlessness, and difficulty in urination.
