Directions: Blanch the squab in boiling water, wash the white peony, slice the ginger. Heat a pot, add water, ginger slices, squab, white peony, wolfberry, bring to a boil and simmer on low heat for 40 minutes. Season to taste.

Ingredients: 20g white peony, 5g Chinese angelica, 5g prepared Polygonum multiflorum, 20g honey.
Directions: Put white peony, Chinese angelica, and prepared Polygonum multiflorum into a pot, add water, simmer for 30 minutes, remove the residue and keep the liquid. When the liquid is lukewarm, add honey and mix well.

Recipe 6: White Peony Blood-nourishing and Pain-relieving Porridge
Ingredients: 15g white peony, 15g astragalus, 15g Chinese angelica, 10g cattail pollen, 100g japonica rice, red sugar to taste.
Directions: Decoction the astragalus, Chinese angelica, white peony, and cattail pollen for 15 minutes, remove the residue and keep the liquid. Add the liquid to the japonica rice and cook porridge, add red sugar when the porridge is cooked. Take it warm in the morning and evening for 7 days before menstruation. It nourishes Qi and blood, invigorates the spleen and stomach, and relieves pain. It is mainly used for the treatment of dysmenorrhea in women.
