Tansy is an annual herb with strong vitality. This species has a strong destructive power, and its potential harm is quite serious. The pollen released by tansy after flowering is extremely harmful to the human body and can cause pollen allergies. Today, I will introduce tansy to you through pictures and remind you to take preventive measures early!
Tansy
Tansy is an annual herbaceous plant, 20-150 cm tall; the stem is upright, with conical branching in the upper part, with edges, and sparsely covered with rough hairs.
The lower leaves are opposite, with short petioles, doubly pinnately divided, with narrow oval to lanceolate lobes, entire margins, with obvious midrib, dark green on the upper surface, covered with fine short appressed hairs or nearly hairless, gray-green on the back, covered with dense short rough hairs;
The upper leaves are alternate, without petioles, and pinnately divided.
Tansy Picture (Seedling Stage)
Seedling stage:
The germination rate of tansy seeds (fruits) is 91.49%, and the emergence rate is highest, best, and fastest when the seeds are sown at a depth of 0.3-1 cm, while those above 5 cm cannot emerge.
The seedlings below four true leaves are susceptible to frost damage, while the seedlings above four true leaves have stronger cold resistance. There is obvious heliotropism in the seedling stage.
Tansy Picture (Branching Stage)
Branching stage:
This stage is actually the period of branch and leaf formation, mainly vertical growth. When the vertical growth tends to stagnate, the formation of branches and leaves also ends.
From late April to late July, it lasts for more than 100 days.
The growth rule is "slow at both ends, fast in the middle". The daily growth rate of plant height: in the early stage, it is 0.08-0.44 cm, in the middle stage, it is 0.9-1.35 cm, and in the later stage, it is 0.24-0.18 cm. The growth rate of plant height is 4.5-5.1 times that of crown growth.
Tansy Picture (Flowering Stage)
Flowering stage:
The male flowers last for 65-70 days, and the female flowers last for 50-55 days.
This period is mainly characterized by crown (horizontal) growth. From July 31st to September 30th, the growth rate of the crown is 5.5-5.8 times that of plant height.
At the same time, the stem and branches thicken and elongate rapidly, and the flower organs mature faster.
