Three Delicious Ways to Enjoy Di Huang: Black Chicken, Pork Rib Soup, and Lily Lean Meat Soup

Method 1: Di Huang Black Chicken

1. Ingredients: One live black chicken, a suitable amount of Di Huang, wolfberries, spring onions, and coriander.

2. Preparation: Firstly, kill the black chicken and remove its internal organs. Rinse it thoroughly and cut it into chunks. Soak the black chicken in water for about ten minutes. Method 2: Di Huang Pork Rib Soup

1. Ingredients: 1 ounce of Di Huang, half a pound of pork ribs, half a pound of lotus root, 5 red dates, and salt to taste.

2. Preparation: Put all the ingredients into a pot. Add an appropriate amount of water. Bring to a boil over high heat and then simmer over low heat for about an hour. Season with salt and it is ready to be served.

3. Effects: This soup has the benefits of nourishing the blood, moisturizing the skin, but it is not suitable for those who have not fully recovered from a cold or have dry and bitter mouth.

Method 3: Di Huang Lily Lean Meat Soup

1. Ingredients: Lean pork, lily, Di Huang, spring onions, and ginger.

2. Preparation: Wash the lily and Di Huang thoroughly. Put them separately into a clay pot and soak them in an appropriate amount of water for over half an hour. After washing the lean pork, cut it into chunks. Put the lean pork, cut spring onions, and ginger into the clay pot. Bring to a boil over high heat, then switch to low heat and simmer for about 45 minutes. Add salt, monosodium glutamate, and other seasonings. Turn off the heat and the nutritious soup is ready.

3. Effects: Drinking the Di Huang lily lean meat soup can calm the mind, relieve anxiety, and help with restlessness, making it suitable for autumn when experiencing palpitations and irritability.
