Ciluo baguan method refers to a cupping technique that combines bloodletting and cupping. It involves using triangular needles or skin needles (such as plum blossom needles or seven-star needles) to stimulate the affected area or small blood vessels, causing them to turn red, bleed, or hemorrhage, followed by cupping. This method is commonly used in clinical treatment due to its wide applicability and effectiveness. It has the functions of clearing heat, promoting blood circulation, dissipating stasis, relieving pain, and regulating meridians and collaterals. It can be used to treat various conditions characterized by excess heat, such as stroke, coma, heatstroke, high fever, headache, sore throat, red and swollen eyes, hordeolum, acute lumbar sprain, abscess, erysipelas, etc. Additionally, it is also very suitable for patients with severe, refractory, and complicated conditions, such as chronic soft tissue injuries, neurodermatitis, itching, neurasthenia, gastrointestinal neuralgia, etc.
Method: First, perform bloodletting on the local area along the meridians, and then proceed with cupping. Leave the cups in place for about 5-10 minutes before removing them, and then use a dry cotton ball to clean the skin.
